Ascending Adventures | Rock Climbing

Our exciting, rock climbing experiences offer an awesome metaphor for the challenges of life and our Christian faith journey. Ely's Peak, on the outskirts of Duluth, Minnesota is our primary climbing site. We also utilize many sites along the North Shore of Lake Superior, as well as the Taylor's Falls area and Devil's Lake State Park near Wisconsin Dells as appropriate environments for beginning and intermediate top-rope climbing. Top rope climbing set-ups resemble indoor climbing. Anchors are fixed at the top of the climb and ropes are redirected to the climber and the belay team (rope controllers). We have developed a unique ministry plan that capitalizes on the trust and challenge associated with this unforgettable experience.

Few experiences offer the excitement, challenge, bonding and trust associated with a climbing outing. The typical climbing session consists of 7 hours of instruction, safety training, climbing, ministry and debriefing while overlooking the splendor of His Creation.
