Christian Couples Apostle Islands Retreat - August 8-11, 2009
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Ascending Adventures' base camp in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin, (about 30 miles south east of the Twin Ports) at 6:00 PM. Introductions around the fire and spend the night at camp.
Day 2
Arise for an hour of solo time with the Lord followed by kayak training, a bit of paddling, and plenty of time for fellowship and ministry.
Day 3
Depart for the Apostle Islands at 9:00 AM. Paddle out to Sand Island, set up camp and explore! Enjoy ministry around the fire and a great night of sleep in the tent or under the stars!
Day 4
Watch the sunrise over the islands as you spend time with God in the early morn! We will spend the day exploring trails, sea caves and the lighthouse!
Day 5
Depart from the Island and paddle back to the "real world." Head back to the Twin Ports early afternoon.
Trip Mission:
The mission of this trip is to bring Christians together in His Creation, establish and deepen relationships, and explore the depths of these gifts he has given to us. Our emphasis will be on fun, and recreation, while we grasp opportunities for spiritual renewal and deeper relationships. We will take a relaxed, but intentional pace, encouraging devotional and campfire time, and exploring the many natural resources surrounding our Island. We believe that God beckons us through the glory of His Creation and calls us deeper. (Romans 1:20). We intend to capitalize on this opportunity.
Trip Cost:
The total trip cost is $400 dollars per couple.
This includes:
-All kayak and safety equipment
-Instruction and guiding
-Food and camping equipment
-Two nights in the Apostle Islands
-A trip full of Christian fellowship, testemonials,
and Spirit lead campfire conversations
