Mission Statement
In cooperation with the Christian community, Ascending Adventures strives to expand and deepen the fellowship of believers through exciting adventure and wilderness ministry.
Statement of Faith
We blelieve in Almighty God, Creator of all things existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture and its supreme authority as the inerrant word of God.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death and resurrection, His ascention, and personal return.
We believe in the salvation of the lost and sinful man through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and the regeneration by the Holy Spirit, given by God's grace through faith, not by works.
We believe the Holy Spirit empowers, guides, and enables the Christian to live a holy life and proclaim the Gospel in ministry to the whole personal spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially.
We believe in the unity of the spirit of all true believers, the church, and the body of Christ.
We believe in the expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Objectives:
Challenge participants to extend themselves physically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally through adventure experience.
Encourage joyful exploration, spiritual reflection, reverence and awe within God's Creation.
Capitalize on the joys and challenges of adventure through experiential learning and ministry.
Solidify relationships and build unity through workshops, day trips, and expeditions within the context of common Christian values.
Model and inspire servant-leadership, enviornmental stewardship, and unselfish submission of personal spiritual gifts.
Provide quality, affordable, outfitting and guiding that exudes our Christian foundation.
Extend all our services to school groups, scouts, and other secular non-profits as well as the greater Twin Ports communities.
